Megan Battle (PVI ‘03) began her life-long engagement with inclusive education and meaningful employment as a student at St. Paul VI High School. She found connection through the Peer Mentor program and went on to major in psychology and special education at George Mason University.  While still a student, she worked at the George Mason Life Program, helping students with intellectual and developmental disabilities engage with campus life and access the curriculum.  After graduation from GMU, Megan served as the resource teacher at St. Luke School. When St. John Paul the Great High School opened, Megan was recruited to lead the Options Program. She then returned to her alma mater, PVI, to lead the Options program where she had originally been a peer mentor. She currently works as an inclusion success coach and has helped create a culture of inclusion by challenging what is possible for individuals with IDD/DD in the workplace. All who have been blessed to know and work with Megan know what a truly transformational person she is. She brings out the best in all who work with her and raises the bar for what is possible for both inclusive education and meaningful employment.
