Press Release: Porto Charities Announces 2021 Grant Recipients

Porto Charities, Inc. has provided grants of over $75,000 to ten Catholic Schools and the Diocese of Arlington to support inclusive education efforts. Schools submitted applications in March of 2021 and were chosen for their commitment to inclusive Catholic education for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.


The recipients are:

  • Diocese of Arlington

  • The Basilica School of St. Mary, Alexandria, VA

  • Bishop Ireton HS, Alexandria, VA

  • Bishop Denis J. O'Connell HS, Arlington, VA

  • Holy Spirit School, Annandale, VA

  • St. Anthony of Padua School, Falls Church, VA

  • St. John Paul the Great HS, Potomac Shores, VA

  • St. Mark Evangelist School, Vienna, VA

  • St. Theresa School, Ashburn, VA

  • St. Thomas More School, Arlington, VA

  • St. Veronica School, Chantilly, VA


Porto Charities, Inc. looks forward to a continuing partnership with these schools and expanding its outreach to even more schools in the Catholic Diocese of Arlington in the years to come.
