Set up a Monthly Gift

Please consider a recurring monthly gift. You will be providing reliable, year-round

support that will help to transform lives.

Mail a Gift

Donations by check can be mailed to Porto Charities at:

10660 Page Avenue #4446

Fairfax, Virginia 22038

Donor-Advised Funds (DAF)

A charitable giving account created through your financial advisor that allows donors to make a contribution, take an immediate tax deduction, and recommend grants to specific charities over time while the funds grow tax-free.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a direct transfer of funds from an IRA Financial Advisor to a qualified charitable organization such as Porto Charities. A QCD may satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if the transaction meets existing guidelines. The amount of the QCD is not counted in your adjusted gross income which may reduce your tax liability and eliminate surcharges related to Medicaid.

Stocks/Appreciated Marketable Securities

One of the most tax-efficient ways to give is by contributing long-term appreciated, marketable securities. Donating appreciated securities through your financial advisor that are held for more than one year may eliminate capital gains and may qualify for a tax deduction equal to the full market value of the securities.
